Speaking as a nurse hun, I can imagine it would be important for example for you to have an understanding of dermatology, to know the a &p of the skin, how it reacts to certain substances, etc. For example would you help someone with say acne or rashes? Skin blotches? (I know there are medical treatments for these too,) but how would you know how to help if you did not know the processes behind these?
Hope this helps?
