is Child Developement a good subject for me to do even though everyone’s against it?
beautytherapists.net
(I’m doing GCSE German, history, child developement and maybe food economics)
A few of the people I have REACH (Social Studies) with tell me that i shouldnt be doing child development because its not in the jobs i want to do (i want to be a writer/author and beauty therapist). But, the thing is, i love children and i want to learn about being a *cough* parent.
— do the GCSE subjects you choose have to relate the jobs you want to do?

I don’t think the GCSE need to relate to what you want to become, that’s more the A-levels job.
But I doubt a child development class would help with that. All it’s really going to do is put a set of stereotypes in your mind, and when the real thing happens you will probably be misguided by those misconceptions.
