no u don’t need to be pretty.. your not in the spotlight, all you need to be is good at your job and be a friendly person. You will get more jobs if your talkative and are easy to get along with
You just need to be able to make OTHERS pretty.
And yes, the industry IS shallow.
No you don’t need to be pretty to be those things at all!!
The industry is very shallow, but those things are fine. They don’t mind what you look like!
if you want to be a make up artist you dont have to be pretty but your makeup has to be done nicely. people will look at you and think – “o she has nice makeup i trust her to make me look that good”
you dont have to be stunning but you should be able to show off your skills as a makeup artist to others on your own face. its like a preview of what they are going to get isnt it!

no you don’t. it’s not your job to be the model, it’s your job to make them into models. plus, how many models are that good looking without makeup anyway?
of course the industry is shallow, but since you’re not the model it doesn’t matter. and if people judge you for NOT being a model, then you should probably run away as fast as you can from that place.
