Well yeah, I mean you are pulling at the skin with such extreme force to pull hairs out so of course some skin is going to come with it. That’s why I never wax mine. I can’t tell you what you’re doing wrong but maybe you’re leaving the wax and paper on too long or maybe the clients that have had this happen have really loose skin. Are they older?
What the hell is a beauty therapist? When I see good looking women and I compliment them! Does that mean I am a beauty therapist too since I make them feel good about themselves?
Hi I’m an esthetician. Here’s a few tips: put a thin layer of baby powder on the area you are going to wax. Of course make sure the wax isn’t too hot, but also make sure it is warm enough to spread in a thin even layer b/c if you’re applying it too thick it could rip at the skin. Make sure you don’t spread the wax too far down on the lid where the skin tends to be thinner. Remember to pull the skin above the brow up to make it taught while you rip the strip off. This is key to preventing extra stress on the skin and also helps with the pain. It could also be the wax your using. I’ve tried so many different kinds and some are way more gentle than others.
kenzieluv gave a very good answer, the only thing I would add is: Never double wax the same area during a treatment. Use tweezers if the wax missed anything. Second, make sure that your client isn’t using retin A or someother facial or eye peel product that thins the skin.
