They don’t ‘need’ to be pretty, but it’s kind of a requirement to look presentable seeming as you’re in the beauty business. Same with hairdressers, a hairdresser wouldn’t come to work with grossly messy greasy hair.
This doesn’t mean to be “pretty” though. Like, as long as you shower and pluck your monobrow if you have one… etc etc.

No you don’t have to be pretty or anything,it’s not like being an actress in Hollywood or something. You just have to know how to apply makeup well and learn the secrets. Of course you want to look presentable and once you learn about makeup you can make yourself look nice
It doesnt matter that they are pretty or not it matters that you are good at your work or not.
my mum is a beauty therapist. she doesnt wearmakeup but always looks presentable. youneed to look like you’re capable and knowwhat youre doing. she is pretty without makeup and her hair is always straight and higlighted
Im a beauty therapist, usually in job interviews they will go for the prettier looking girl if she has the same qualifications as another less fortunate applicant.
Girls with heavy make up, messy hair, a bad attitude and skanky clothes defiantly don’t go down well. “posh’ is more the appearance they go for as they need to look Professional or people will not trust them.
